I am a soldier.
I fight for freedom
I defend my region
When I went to war
My life was torn.
So here I lay in Flanders fields
Where poppies grow and soldiers are remembered
For what they have done.
I hear the guns around me and think
Is there still a war?
Remember me, I fought for you.
