Congratulations to Danilel and Chloe for being selected as award recipients this month. They have both improved their efforts in class and we are proud of them. Chloe was away today, so we will recognize her next month.

Thanks for a great week, everyone.

Wonderstruck, by Brian Selznick
In the book Wonderstruck, two stories of two different people get told, one in pictures and one in words, those stories keep switching between each other. The stories are based fifty years apart.Ben and Rose are the main characters and are very much different but have one thing in common, they both want their lives to change. They both make the journey to New York City and meet some pretty odd people, but in the end the similarity between the stories is huge.
I would recommend this book to people ages 10-adult and to people who like the big adventure genre.
This book is available at Coles bookstores.

The Adventures Of Shelby, Wilder And Mackenna Chapter 2- Into The Woods

Chapter 2- Into The Woods

" Snap" " what is that?" Mackenna said.
" I don't know," I replied to
Mackenna.
We ran as far away and as fast as a big grey tornado that just hit the ground.
"We ended up in this place that has trees with light green leaves everywhere.
" Umm, where are we?" Shelby said as worried as I had ever saw her.

The Adventures of Shelby, Wilder and Mackenna Chapter 1 Walking in TheWoods

A Beautiful Day

Here we are in the lovely Province of Alberta.
"Ahhh isn't it such a lovely day, " said Shelby gladly.
"How about we go for a walk in the big woods," says Mackenna and then Mackenna, Shelby and me, Wilder, got our shoes and sweaters on, out the door we went to go to the woods.

Book Talk by Patrick

Diary of a wimpy kid cabin fever
In the sixth installment of the series, Greg finds himself around Christmas time and he faces even more challenges this time, like getting framed for a crime he sort-of committed, accidentally doing a good deed, or the biggest of all, getting trapped in his own home because of the level of snow outside.
I would recommend this book to people ages 8-14 or so. Also to people who like the comedy genre.
This book is available at most book stores that I know of.
