Where I'm from By: Mackenna

Where I'm from
I am from pull my finger
And Disgusting farts.
A crying baby with
A waterfall of tears poring down her face.
I am from a barking dog and
Claws scratching down the door to be let in
Cars rushing down the road and horns honking.
My tongue going across
freezing cold chocolate ice cream.
I am from my bike tires rolling extremely fast
As I make a sharp screeching turn.
Mom yelling at me
To clean my room,
I don't do it until the next week
I am from Taylor and Emma yelling at me to go away.
My sisters cell phones vibrating over and over.
The stench of nail polish
As we paint our nails
The sand going through my toes
When we went on our family trip to Cuba
The spraying of hair spray being soaked on.
I am from The nice smell body spray being sprayed all over
The sound of music being turned up on the speakers
The taste of a nice home made dinner

Benny's blue hat By: Grace and Mackenna

Benny's Blue Hat poem

One foggy and humid night
Benny Rue was tucked in tight
He had a dream
Of a world of ice cream
While eating chocolate sauce
Then I was playing toss
I woke up in a happy place
With a blue hat , with lace

The End

Summer day By: Mackenna

One lovely Monday
I woke up,
And looked outside my window
The sun was shining
The birds were chirping
And the flowers were blooming.
I got ready and dashed outside
Right to my bus stop,
I was so excited to be going to school
It was so nice and warm out
I got to school and I was running around
I love these summer days
It's so nice and warm out
And it's only the month of May

Where Krishna's from by: Mackenna

Krishna
Where Krishna's from

Krishna's from his Older brother Priyam
And their sometimes fights
He is from his caring parents
His Mom's dark brown hair and
His dad's wide smile

Krishna's from
the first time on skis
He was nervous when he saw the big hill
But was also had a big smile on his face
And was ready to go
His first hill was magic carpet
He even taught himself to turn
His skis blazing through the snow and
Snowflakes falling on his eyelashes.

Krishna's from
Playing soccer on the rep team
And sweat pouring down his face
When he runs as fast as he can down the field.
Krishna is from riding his bike
Down the spooky cemetery path.

Krishna's from eating delicious vegetarian pizza
He takes a bite into it and he gets a
Loving taste inside his mouth
The hot cheese melting inside his mouth
And Krishna thinks to himself
What a wonderful world

Ask Questions Poem

Why doesn't Jonas
Feel like he wants
To follow some of the rules?
Like being able to ask
Any question he wants
And be as kind or rude as
He wants.

When will Jonas
Have any recreation time
To just hang out
With Asher?
He has to
Go straight to the
Annex Building
Right after school
And straight home
After training

How will Jonas
Be able to overcome
The pain of his
Training without
Applying for
Medical Treatment?
In the rules of
Receiver of Memory
It says he cannot apply
For medicine related to his
Training

How did Jonas
Feel when he saw
That there was
A locked door in the
Annex Building?
There are no other locked
Doors in the community.

I think that Jonas
Might've felt a bit frightened because
There are no doors in the
Whole entire community
That are permitted to be
Locked, that Jonas knew about,
So Jonas didn't know
If something was dangerous
Behind the locked doors
Or if the current
Receiver of Memory
Was kind or not.

Also, I predict that
Some memories that Jonas
Receives may be
Very frightening to Jonas
And that he will have dreams
About them
I think this because
The current Receiver
Said to Jonas
That he would get
Memories from
The Whole World
And some things in
The World might be
Frightening to Jonas

Where I'm From

I'm from
The cheering crowd as my
Team and I play large teams in
A rep league
I'm from sharp turns as I hear my skate grinding against the ice, I hear
The hockey sticks banging as we score
I'm from constant practicing

I'm from
Sketching landscapes , ships and
Planes
I'm from
Drawing oil pastel sun sets
I'm from
Drawing man made structures to
Nature' s beautiful sights

I'm from
Fantastic adventures
I'm from
Looking down as I
Stand at the edge of a waterfall
I'm from
Looking at spectacular
Sights

I'm from
Building amazing
Robots with a
Sense of touch, sight and sound
I'm from building Lego ships,
Bridges and towers
I am from uniqueness

Branden's Poem

I Wish By Shelby

I wish I was a horse
So I could eat all day,
I would never have to go to school,
Just because I can.

I wish I was a spider
So I could scare people,
I could make webs all over the place,
Just because I'm a spider.

I wish I was glue
So I could help people with work,
I would get used more than tape,
Just because I'm sticky.

I wish I was chocolate
So everyone would want me,
I would be so sweet,
Just because I taste good.

Where I'm From Brain Splat By Shelby

Where I'm From

Where I'm From
Im from the musical talents of the Beatles
But mostly John
And Octopuses Garden being the first
Song I heard by them
I'm from sports in my free time
Like Frisbee, Lacrosse and Basketball
Playing Ultimate in the field
And doing trick shots through the equipment
And the sweaty stench of lacrosse
I'm from Disney World's heat
And all of the pools
I'm from Expedition Everest
And not too many rides

I'm from being the youngest
But not quite the shortest
Always hanging around when Kristen does math
To make sure that I learn ahead
For the next grade math level
That I do in school
I'm from writing in my free time
And Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage
To Jay Ingram and Ziya Tong
And the math a grade ahead

Where I'm From

Where I'm From
I'm from Mike smiths lighting fast reflexes to save a puck
And Steve Nash's high jump as he takes a shot
That goes straight through the white mesh
From Collin Doyle getting a breakaway
And scoring a point for the Toronto Rock

I'm from Ringo Starr hitting his drums
In perfect order and key
To woo he crowd
As he plays you've got to hide your love away
At Shea Stadium

I'm from the loud engine
Of the cart going up the big drop on Behemoth
And the loud screams as we dive down the drop
From the people on the ground
Looking and laughing
At our petrified faces
In the park of Canada's Wonderland

I'm from the tropical sun
Burning my face
Until it's the shade of an old mango
From the Icy water
Landing on me
Making me sting all around
As someone jumps into the dip
From the exotic foods
That I am dying to try
On my expensive family vacations

I'm from all the memories
That that have thrilled me
And Left me hanging
Like an old photo album
That will never leave me

Just Another Day At The Barn

Just Another Day At The Barn

Today will be just the same as all the others

One more person to get ridden by

I’m in the stall again,

I hate the stall.

I start to whiney at a person walking by,

‘Okay Rowdy, I’ll take you out’

She says.

‘Yes, I’m going to the field now’

I’m thinking as she guides me out.

‘Tomorrow is a show and Kristen will be riding you’

She tells me.

‘Oh great’

I think

‘Now she’s going to make me all purdy for the judges’

She brushes my hair and braids it,

How I hate the braids.

Now I’m in the field roaming free

Before Kristen gets here to practice

I think I’ll sneak into the arena

For a little free time

Before I get ridden

‘Yeah, I’ll go get Rowdy to start riding’

I hear Kristen say as she arrives

She comes in to ride me and gets me saddled up

To ride me on

We practice for a while and then she goes home

Today is the show, I get some apples

Before we head off to the show,

We get to the show and Kristen gets ready to ride me

First we’re doing English Showmanship

And we have to show me off ‘cause I look good

We’re in front of the judges now and I’m holding in a big fart

‘C’mon keep it in Rowdy’

I think to myself

For the girl’s sake

‘I can’t hold it any longer.’

I think again

PFFFFFFFT!!!

I fart.

We end up getting a bronze and 3rd place

I feel so bad for Kristen getting a bronze

But, at least she got a medal

Some people didn’t get anything

I continue at the show for the day

And then we head back

‘Just another day at the barn’

I say to myself as I lay down in my tiny, cramped stall.

You Can’t Write a Poem About a Fish Swimming In a Toilet By Shelby

You Can’t Write a Poem About a Fish Swimming In a Toilet
When I woke up this morning
something smelled like a pig,
I got up to go see,
In the kitchen first
and looked in the fridge,
nothing was there, but my old dry cheese,
I got to the living room,
there was only a T.V,
I ran to the bathroom
and had to go pee.
About to sit down,
I heard this weird noise.
It was clicking and clacking like tall high heels,
and then I looked back.
Behind me was a big, fat fish.
Now it smells like a big monkey kiss.
I screamed so loud,
like a drum being banged,
I tried to get it out
but, I dropped right away,
it felt scaly, slimy and very mushy.
So, how will I get the fish out?
I’ll get a rope and pull the big fat fish out,
I have to go find some rope in my messy house.
Finally I got some rope from the shelf,
I tied on the fish’s tail,
then, got a really good grip on the rope.
I pulled and pulled on the rope,
but, then the rope snapped.
Oh dear, I’ll have to go wake up mom,
so she can get the fish out.
I woke her up and she went to go see.
Can you guess what she said to me?
She was very surprised and didn’t know how.
But still, she got it out for me,
so I could go pee.
How did that fish get in there?
I guess that is the big mystery.

You Can't Write A Poem About Ultimate Frisbee

You can't write a poem about Ultimate Frisbee
We start the games,
Get our checks
We run for it.
I get the disc
One throw gets up the field
Near the end zone,
I sprint up
Take a dive,
That's it, I scored!
Total points on that shift
3 for us
1 for them.
I'm off next shift
6-3 for us,
Now I'm back on,
This time we pull it.
They walk out calmly
One person grabs it,
Everyone else sprints
To the zone.
They throw a long bomb,
I dive to intercept,
And whack it
Out of the air.
I take the disc to the line
Toss it out,
A teammate catches and waits,
When we come
He throws it up,
I bolt faster than I ever have
I take a dive and grab it!
I'm still falling
I have a mouthful
Of grassy dirt and think
Could this taste any worse?
The game's almost done
It's 9-4
I see the disc coming,
A bright, orange circle,
Flying through the sky.
We can get one last point,
I receive it in the zone!
We win 10-4
Teams shake hands.
